On the walls, pretty painted roses are so numerous that it seems to warm the room. The ruby red curtains provide a lovely backdrop for the room’s traditional furniture.

Where does the name "L’Arnier" come from?
There are several possibilities. The first is that it comes from the Occitan “arno” that means "mitte" or “arnello” meaning “sandy”. The second possibility is that it is derived from a plant name “arno” meaning thorny plant. One plant that it might refer to is called the “crown of Christ” or “Paliure”. It is still used today to combat gout, hypertension and high cholesterol. We prefer the idea that Arnier refers to sandy ground, famous in this region for bull-fighting.
